Growth of yeast strains with defects in phosphatidylethanolamine biosynthesis depends on the carbon sources. Cell suspensions of strains listed in the figure were spotted at dilutions (1, 1/10, 1/100, 1/1000, 1/10,000) on YPD, YPLac, MMGlu and MMLac with or without 5 mM ethanolamine.
