Suicide and non-suicide cases within the schizophrenia group were coded as follows: ‘suicide-negative schizophrenia' group (non-suicide schizophrenia =1, suicide schizophrenia =0, and controls=0), and ‘suicide-positive schizophrenia' group (suicide schizophrenia =1, non-suicide schizophrenia =0, and controls=0).
