ANG II induces phosphorylation of insulin receptor substrate-1 (IRS-1) at multiple serine residues. VSMCs were stimulated with 100 nM ANG II for the indicated times. Immunoprecipitation (IP) of IRS-1 followed by Western blotting with phosphospecific antibodies was performed. A: ANG II induced IRS-1 Ser632 phosphorylation maximally at 5 min (n = 3).
