Interpretation of the dominance factor, DF = cosθ−sinθ. When θ = 0, DF = 1 and the oscillation is fast. When $\mathrm{\theta }=\frac{\mathrm{\pi }}{2}$, DF = −1 and the oscillation is slow. Medium frequency oscillations occur when $\mathrm{\theta }\in (0,\frac{\mathrm{\pi }}{2})$ and DF ∈ (−1, 1).
