Synthesis and actions of ET-1 in adrenal cortical zona glomerulosa cells. These cells can synthesize ET-1. ET-1 increases aldosterone production via activation of both ETA and ETB, although there is uncertainty as to whether these effects are autocrine and/or paracrine mediated.
