Neurogenesis was measured by the incorporation of bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU; detected by BD Pharmingen, cat. no. 555627 antibody) into DNA, and neurons were identified by an anti-neuronal nuclei antibody (NeuN; Millipore cat. no.
