(A) Farnesol dose-dependent increase in GPX activity in CA following 3 h and 18 h exposure to farnesol. Similar increase in cdr1 at 18 h with no change at 3 h (B) Increase in GLR activity in CA and cdr1 at 18 h with cdr1 exhibiting less activity than CA. In contrast, no effect on GLR activity was noted in both strains following 3 h exposure to farnesol. However, activity of both enzymes was restored to near baseline levels in the presence of exogenous glutathione.
