Aminoacyl-tRNA stability towards hydrolysis was determined with 3 µM yeast eEF1A (yEF1A, filled circles) or glucosylated yeast eEF1A (yEF1A, open circles), 1 mM GTP and 1 µM [14C]Phe-tRNAPhe for 60 min. As a control [14C]Phe-tRNAPhe was incubated without eEF1A (triangles). Non-hydrolyzed [14C]Phe-tRNAPhe was quantified by filter binding assay and scintillation counting.
