Molecular models of the excision products of 3′-azido-ddA (A), 3′-azido-2,6-DA-P (B), 3′-azido-6-AA-P (C) and 3′-azido-6-Cl-P (D) in the DNA polymerase active site of HIV-1 RT containing TAMs. Each of the analogs was modeled into the ternary RT-T/P-AZTppppA complex (pdb co-ordinates 3KLE).
