FTIR spectra exhibited by peptides LA3LA2 (top) and LA6 (bottom) as dried films cast from methanol (A), solutions in deuterated aqueous buffer (B), and solutions in SDS micelles dispersed in deuterated aqueous buffer (C) at 25 °C. With the hydrated samples, the marked band (*) near 1670 cm−1 arises from the trifluoroacetate counterions which copurify with the peptides.
