A, IR spectroscopic analysis of RH purified from cells grown heterotrophically on fructose and glycerol at varying concentrations of gaseous 13CO added to the head space. The spectra were normalized on the CN stretchings. B, the peak height ratio (13CO peak height compared with the sum of 12CO and 13CO peak heights) as a function of 13CO concentration in the headspace, was fitted with a logistic, sigmoidal function: y(x0) = (Ai-Af/1+(x/x0)ρ)+Af. Fitting parameters: Ai (initial y value) = 0; Af (final y value) = 100; x0 center value: y(x0) = (Ai+Af)/2) = 13.0186 and ρ (rate) = 1.0135.
