Effects of inhibitors specific for MAPK pathway on the production of TNF-α by macrophages. Peritoneal macrophages (5 × 105 per well) were pretreated with SB 203580 (p38 inhibitor, 10 μM) or/and PD 98059 (Erk-MEK1/2 inhibitor, 20 μM) for 30 min and then stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (0.1 μg/ml) or exopolysaccharides (EPS) (100 μg/ml) for 24 h.
