A. Percentage of CD34+ cells in the bone marrow of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), MDS subtype RAEB, and MDS subtype RARS. The percentage of CD34+ cells was determined (estimated) in CD34-stained bone marrow sections by microscopy (black bars) as well as by TissueFAXS using HistoFAXS software (grey bars) in blinded fashion. As visible, there was an excellent correlation when comparing the two techniques of quantification of CD34+ progenitor cells.
