A multimer of the region between −106 and −91 of GnRH-P is sufficient for androgen repression. GT1-7 cells were transiently transfected with the AR expression plasmid and the indicated reporter plasmid, containing multiple copies of the indicated region, upstream of the minimal TK promoter (A) or the 106/−91 multimer and the indicated expression plasmid(s) (B). Cells were treated for 24 h with 100 nm R1881 (closed bars) or ethanol vehicle (open bars) and subjected to luciferase assay.
