77 K fluorescence emission spectra of Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 cells lacking PSI and ChlL. Cells had been grown in darkness for a week and were then transferred to continuous light (4 μmol photons m−2 s−1) for 0 h (PSI-less/chlL−, dotted line; PSI-less/SCP-less/chlL−, dashed line) or 24 h (PSI-less/chlL−, solid line; PSI-less/SCP-less/chlL−, dashed/dotted line). The spectra were normalized to 100 at 683 nm, where phycobilisomes and some chlorophylls emit maximally. The excitation wavelength was 435 nm. a.u., arbitrary units.
