Substratum compliance affects HTM cell proliferation. HTM cell proliferation was reduced on 4 kPa substrates compared with 25 kPa and TCP substrates. Treatment with 2 μM Lat-B did not affect HTM cell proliferation on any of the tested substrates (A). HTM cell proliferation rates did not vary across pathomimetic, 25 to 75 kPa substrates (B).
