Line tension versus protein concentration for Π = 26 mN/m (solid squares) and 34 mN/m (open squares). The line tension increases with increasing SP-B concentration at 26 mN/m, but saturates by 34 mN/m. The increase in line tension with SP-B concentration suggests that the SP-B is repelled from the domain boundaries and is soluble in the continuous, fluid LE phase.
