Edema corrected mean cortical, basal ganglia and hippocampal infarct volumes after 2 h of tMCAO 24 h post reperfusion. A significant reduction of cortical (p = 0.002) and basal ganglia (p = 0.036) infarct volumes was achieved. Hippocampal infarct volumes were nominally but not statistically significantly reduced.
