a) Diagram of RPS2 deletion mutants. Deletion mutants were expressed as maltose binding protein (MBP) fusions. Mouse RPS2 (98% AA identity to human RPS2) was used in these experiments. b) Purified deletion mutant proteins were incubated with PAD4 in the presence of CaCl2 and separated by SDS-PAGE. Citrulline content was detected by western blot (upper panel). An anti-MBP antibody was used to indicate equal loading (lower panel).
