All E. fetida were weighed under wet conditions in the short-term (A) and the long-term (B) experiments. Each data point represents the mean of six E. fetida. The treatment of E. fetida with 200 μg Cd/g soil resulted in body weight loss, suggesting Cd-induced growth inhibition.
