Enantioselective inhibition of human CYP3A by naringenin. A range of concentrations of rac-naringenin (open circle), (R)-naringenin (dark square), or (S)-naringenin (dark triangle) was incubated with pooled human liver microsomes (protein concentration 0.25 mg/ml) and probe substrate testosterone at 37°C for 15 min and enzyme activity was determined in two independent experiments. Individual points represent the mean of duplicate incubations.
