LC-ESI-MS/MS measurements of CEdG diastereomers in calf thymus DNA subjected to various workup procedures. Hydrolyzed samples correspond to DNA treated with nuclease P1/alkaline phosphatase/phosphodiesterase as described in Materials and Methods. Calf thymus DNA samples were also reacted with proteinase K (Extracted) prior to hydrolysis. Levels of CEdG were measured in the presence or absence of carbonyl scavenger AG.
