The activities of intact cells and isolated biosilica from wild-type T. pseudonana and three independent T. pseudonana transformant clones are shown. Equal numbers of cells from each strain were used for biosilica isolation and live cell activity assays. For HRP, 1 unit corresponds to 1.0 μmol H₂O₂ consumed per minute. For GAOx, 1 unit corresponds to 1.0 μmol H₂O₂ produced per minute. The height of each bar represents the average value from the analyses of three independent experiments.
