The time course of changes in the numbers of antihypertensive eye drops and oral medications used. At the first visit, immediately before and 3 months after PPV + PPL + E PC + S O tamponade, 3 months after SO removal + IOL, and 1 year after PPV + PPL + E PC + S O tamponade, the numbers of medications used (mean ± S D) were 0.7 ± 1.4, 2.1 ± 2.0, 0.6 ± 0.7, 1.2 ± 1.2, and 1.6 ± 1.6.
