Terpene products of the terpene synthases TPS6 and TPS11 measured in vitro. The enzymes were expressed in E. coli, extracted, and incubated with the substrates GPP and FPP. The resulting terpene products were identified by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. A, sesquiterpene products of TPS6 and TPS11. B, monoterpene products of TPS6 and TPS11.
