IGFBP-6 inhibits both basal and VEGF-stimulated angiogenesis. Tube formation assay was performed using HUVECs in the presence of VEGF (25 ng/ml), PEDF (916 ng/ml), IGFBP-6 (1000 ng/ml), VEGF+PEDF, and VEGF+IGFBP-6. The average tube length (A) and node number (B) were determined and are expressed as a percentage of the control group (mean ± SE, n=3). Groups labeled with different letters are statistically different from each other at P < 0.01.
