The value of the parameter obtained in Fig. 3 as a function of the age of the donor for MSC isolated from bone marrow from iliac crest (BM) and femoral head (HIP). The decrease of with age indicates that for older donors cell senescence occurs more rapidly. HIP-MSC show a larger value of than MSC-BM. We report our estimates for the parameter in the inset, showing values compatible with reported in Ref. (26) and no significant age dependence.
