Deletion of PSGL-1 reduces the severity and duration of clinical disease activity after treatment with DSS. WT and PSGL-1−/− mice maintained on drinking water alone (control) were compared to mice treated with 2.5% DSS from day 0 through day 6. Body weight, diarrhea, and occult/gross blood were assessed every 3–4 days for 21 days to give individual indices as well as a conglomerate DAI (n = 5–10 per group). *, p < 0.05; #, p < 0.01 vs. untreated control.
