The fit (r² = 0.833) to a linear regression model (solid line) and the 95% confidence intervals (dashed lines) are presented (regression is significant at P <0.001). Although showed in the figure, data from the high temperature-treatment were excluded for the regression analysis since it induced irreversible damage on thalli.
