BrdU incorporation and TUNEL assays on single cell suspension of the primary spheroid cultures were performed to assess the proliferation and apoptosis (see Materials and Methods for details). (A) shows representative images of BrdU and TUNEL staining. (C) and (B) show the quantification of BrdU staining and TUNEL staining. We scored 500 cells for each cell line after 7 days culture.
