WT (A) or HIF-2α−/− mice (B) were subjected to either non-UO sham surgery or left UO, before which baseline renal blood flow was obtained by monitoring the microvascular blood flow in the right kidney. 2 days after release of obstruction, the left kidney was subjected to 25 min of ischemia immediately after right nephrectomy was performed. After the initiation of reperfusion, the blood flow in the left kidney was measured at the indicated time points, and the mean value versus the baseline value was defined as relative renal perfusion. Graph showed data acquired from 4–6 independent experiments for each mouse strain at each time point. *, p<0.05 between UO-IR and sham-IR groups.
