(The second column gives the FCCs for the original parameter values given in Lambeth & Kushmerick (2002). The third and fourth columns show an estimation of the minimal and maximal values of the respective FCCs, when the Vmax parameters are allowed to vary between half and double their original value. Correspondingly, columns five and six show the minimal and maximal values of the FCCs when the Vmax parameters can vary between one-tenth and 10 times the original value. All minimum and maximum values were estimated using the ‘particle swarm’ optimization method in COPASI with settings ‘iteration limit’=150 and ‘swarm size’=30.)
