Synergistic effects of gemtuzumab/ozogamicin (GO) and BCR/ABL tyrosine kinase inhibitors on growth of primary CML cells. CML cells were cultured in the presence of various concentrations of GO and nilotinib (A) or GO and bosutinib (B) alone or in combination (fixed ratio of drug concentrations) as indicated. Thereafter, 3H-thymidine uptake was measured. Results show typical experiments and represent the mean±S.D. of triplicates. In each case, the combination index value (CI) calculated by Calcusyn software was found to be <1, thereby indicating synergistic drug interactions.
