Effect of hSOD1 and mutSOD1 on gene expression in gastrocnemius muscle. RT-qPCRs were performed on total RNA extracted from gastrocnemius muscles of non-transgenic (NTg) mice, of mice expressing the wild type human SOD1 transgene (hSOD1), and of mice expressing the G93A mutant form of human SOD1 (mutSOD1) at different ages. All animals were age-matched. Data have been normalized to the amount of GAPDH mRNA, expressed relative to the levels determined in NTg mice (age-matched with 80-day-old mutSOD1 mice) taken as internal reference, and expressed as fold changes.
