Survival of Lewis lung carcinoma-bearing C57 mice after S. typhimurium A1-R i.v. administration. Female C57 immunocompetent mice, aged 6 weeks, were injected with RFP-expressing Lewis lung carcinoma cells (1 × 10⁶ in 100 µl PBS) into the tail vein. Beginning at day 5, S. typhimurium A1-R bacteria (10⁷ CFU) were injected into the tail vein of the mice twice a week for three weeks. The survival of mice was determined for both treated and untreated groups.
