Patient charts were audited to check the completion of eligible preventive manoeuvres in the 24 months before the start of the study.
Each patient was assigned a prevention score that was calculated by dividing the number of manoeuvres performed within the previous 24 months by the number of manoeuvres for which the patient was eligible and then multiplying by 100; the score ranged from 0 (if no eligible manoeuvres were performed) to 100 (if all eligible manoeuvres were performed).
