Fluoresbrite^® adherence to PE and PC 0.4 μm and 3 μm Transwell membranes was assessed over a 6-hour time course using both 37 nm and 200 nm particles (9.3 × 10¹³ and 6.2 × 10¹¹ particles/mL, respectively, 200 nm data not shown). Photographs are comparable in the vertical direction only, due to necessary differences in gain settings. PE membranes show a greater adherence of Fluoresbrite particles and therefore were eliminated from the study.
