Immunization with native p210 resulted in a significant reduction in aortic atherosclerosis when compared to PBS and cBSA/Alum group (A; right panel; n = 9–10 each group). P210 immunization significantly reduced macrophage infiltration (B) assessed by MOMA-2 stain (n = 9–10 each group) and DC presence (C) assessed by CD11c (n = 7–12 each group) stain in aortic sinus plaques.
