Cells were isolated from allogeneic (BALB/c) and syngeneic (B6) heart grafts parked for 50 days in splenectomized B6 aly/aly mice. NK1.1 cells present within the grafts were identified by flow cytometry by gating on the lineage negative (B220CD4CD8), NK1.1+ population (left panel). Expression of the activation marker CD69 on the gated cells was then determined (right panel). N=3/group, pooled prior to analysis.
