This contrast (n = 20, uncorrected threshold 0.001, minimum cluster size 10 voxels) revealed three regions with stronger hemodynamic responses during intentional empathy: the bilateral inferior frontal cortex and the right middle temporal gyrus. The opposite contrast [skin color evaluation] > [intentional empathy] did not reveal any significant regions under the same threshold conditions.
