OE primary cell cultures were incubated with saline vehicle (0 min), NPY (1 μM, A–C) or FGF2 (3 μM, D–F) for 5, 30 min and 1 hour. (A and D) Representative immunoblots for phospho-p44/42 ERK and actin. (B–C and E–F) Quantification of phospho-p44/42 ERK was made from 4 replications. The levels of phospho-p44/42 ERK were normalized to actin. Data are expressed as ratios over 0 min. * indicates significant differences from 0 min at p<0.05.
