Diffusion coefficient ratio $\left({}^{D_i}/_{D_j}\right)$ as a function of molecular weight ratio $\left({}^{{\mathit{MW}}_j}/_{{\mathit{MW}}_i}\right)$ follows the ${\left({}^{{\mathit{MW}}_j}/_{{\mathit{MW}}_i}\right)}^{1∕3}$ relationship predicted by the Stokes-Einstein-Sutherland equation (line through data) applied to a spherical model of proteins with good fidelity for the proteins listed in the table annotation. Proteins from different sources with different shape exhibit a spherical excluded volume in solution.
