Hypothesized model. A low level of response to alcohol (LR) is hypothesized to be directly related to alcohol-related outcomes (ALCOUT) and indirectly related through drinking in peers (PEER), positive alcohol expectancies (EXPECT), and drinking to cope with stress (COPE). The domains are as defined in Table 1.
