The upper and lower traces represent temperature and membrane potential, respectively. When the temperature was decreased from 31℃ to 11℃, the seven firing patterns of Aplysia neurons changed sequentially: bursting-oscillation, square-wave bursting, bursting-chaos, beating-chaos, doublets, beating, and silent.
