(B) The averaged mean deviation of stereocilia bundle orientations from 0° was determined by measuring the absolute value of the angle formed by the bundle axis and a reference line drawn perpendicular to the striola. In this schematic red indicates the position of the kinocilium and green is the cell periphery. (C) The averaged deviation from 0° for hair cells located in fields1,2&3 for each experimental and control genotype. Error bars indicate standard deviation.
