Illustrated are the average spline representations of the annuli from an atrial view. The annuli are arranged such that the anterior portions are at the top while the posterior portions are at the bottom. Annular strains are displayed at four characteristic time points: End Diastole (ED), End IsoVolumic Contraction (EIVC), End Systole (ES), and End IsoVolumic Relaxation (EIVR). Red indicates annular dilation/tension, blue indicates annular contraction/compression, relative to the reference configuration at LVPmin.
