NI3T3 cells were transfected with the κE3’ enhancer PU.1 motif reporter plasmid and the CMV expression plasmids indicated in the figure. The asterisk indicates significant (p< 0. 05) repression of PU.1 by STAT5 when transfected without IRF4. In the presence of IRF4, STAT5 failed to repress transactivation.
