Atg2 is recruited to the autophagosome formation site later than Atg5 but before LC3. HeLa cells stably expressing GFP-Atg5 were cultured in starvation medium for 2 h. Cells were stained with anti-GFP, anti-Atg2A, and anti-LC3 antibodies (A).
