Effects of AZ66 on the development of behavioral sensitization to methamphetamine. Male, Swiss Webster mice were injected (i.p.) with either saline or AZ66 (10 or 20 mg/kg) followed 15 min later with either saline or methamphetamine (Meth; 1 mg/kg) once a day for 7 days. Following an 8-day drug-free period (day 15), all of the mice were injected (i.p.) with saline, followed 15 min later with methamphetamine (1 mg/kg). Pretreatment with AZ66 (10 or 20 mg/kg) on days 1–7 significantly blocked the development of sensitization.
