ATDs of the +7 and +8 charge states of ubiquitin in N2 (top panel) and He (bottom panel) buffer gases. The same 5 µM ubiquitin solution was used for both experiments. The more compact conformer of both charge states of ubiquitin appears to be more stable in N2 as the more extended conformer is more prevalent in He.
